Utopianism

Dad came home from the hospital last night after recieving his first round of chemo. He says he feels better than he has been - he’s beginning to eat more and is trying to get his sleeping back on schedule. At the beginning of the week, he was admitted into the hospital a day before his chemo because he was having trouble breathing. The doctor’s thought that the cancer had maybe spread to his lungs, but after running tests, they determined he just had fluid on his lungs from being on bedrest for the past couple of weeks. So now he is up walking around more as well.

On a different note, my boyfriend and I got our apartment today. We’re running around trying to get all the things taken care of, and later we’re driving to my house to get some furniture. I’m so excited! But on top of all this, I have a lot of homework to do, and I don’t know when I’ll have time to get around to it.

I love my dad. I love my family - boyfriend included. I love that despite all of the terrible things that are happening, all the people I love are finding something good in today.
